1986 – 2016

Elizabeth Rent a Car was founded in 1986 by Juan Ángel Álvarez in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote. With a modest fleet of barely 10 vehicles and employees such as Yasmina Álvarez, who was in charge of the Fuerteventura office, and Elizabeth Pérez, from whom the founder took the name for the company due to her indispensable participation in its creation.

founded on the island of Lanzarote by Juan Angel Alvarez with the support of his wife Maria Esperanza Medina, children and workers as Yasmina Alvarez who was in charge as director in our neighboring island Fuerteventura, or Elizabeth Perez to whom for her indispensable participation in the creation of this company the founder gave his name. Today, Elizabeth Rent a Car is run by the second generation of the family and offers car hire services with a fleet of 200 vehicles in all the tourist centres on the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.
